"Nicole Urdiales from Carmel Curiel Larios' office called me this morning to let me know that they hadn't received the certificate of my completion of the AARP Mature Driver Improvement Course. I've been taking the course for many years, which gives me a discount on my auto insurance. It needs to be taken every three years, and she was concerned that I didn't do it this time. I had completed the course and apparently sent a copy to the wrong email address. I've been with State Farm since the 1960s. I had the same agent in Berkeley until changing to an agent in Sonoma County a few years ago. Than agent retired and my account was moved to Carmel Curiel Larios' office. The previous two were good, but they're by far the most attentive to my insurance policies. Thank you for keeping track of my policies, Nicole!"

"Nichole was friendly toned and quickly transferred me to Jenny Flores. Jenny flores was bright, intellegent, softly humorous at appropriate times, she read the room well, gave efficient information in an understandable manner slowing down the density of information and breaking it down in laymen's terms. I am grateful to have had the pleasure of good customer care. Thank you for hiring people who make people feel like they matter as a whole person and aren't offended by the truth. Ps the questions below asking about whether i decided to go with state farm don't give the option for assessing other companies to price check. I didn't get full coverage today so didn't pay out any money...I can say the price I was quoted is in line with my current insurance company. Though this company offers towing to nearest...spots..for a dollar and a quarter more a month roughly which my company does not. But they do offer other things I appreciate and utilize yearly. ♥ ty for everything Jenny Flores! Your a great customer service rep and need a raise because you are a genuine diamond of the first water!"

"Awful experience. They have ZERO communication between each other. Every time I called I had to explain who I was and why I was calling. Even then my questions were ignored, as someone else was responsible - then nothing. No call no email. Also, they were rude! I have never met nor been able to access the branch manager, Carmen. I have been with State Farm since for 35 years. All of my agents were great. Kathy Crim was my agent for the past 13 years. She was a gem, she knew who you were, what you needed and was always always available and her staff was wonderful. Unfortunately for all of us, she retired. I will be looking for another agent."

"Most horrible experience I ever had with State Farm!! I been a member for over 10yrs with home, life, and auto insurance. My auto insurance policy was canceled without any notification from my agent. I made multiple payments within a month thinking maybe it didn't go through and was reassured by Erica that my auto is fine, and so to double check I called and asked again before a family road trip because I didn't see coverage on my app, and was reassured a 2nd time by Erica my auto was fine. Fast forward a month later the auto still doesn't appear on my app so I called in today to find out it's not active and been canceled. The level of how furious this makes me is through the roof knowing I jeopardized my family on a trip being misguided twice by this agency. The lack of communication and still no notification from the office indicating my insurance was canceled. The branch manager Carmen is never available for you to speak with. I wouldn't waste my time here if you're looking for a good branch. This location will not no longer have my business. I worked with Kathy Crim for years and her service was phenomenal but she had since retired. Best of luck and hope this help someone make a wise decision before selecting a office to work with. Literally the first negative review I ever left for a business.. not my usual thing but I am pretty hot over this."

"My account got transferred from my longtime agent, Kathy Crim in December. The debit card used for my auto pay was stolen and I forgot to update with the new one until today. I called my agent, was transferred to this agency and told my policy transferred when Kathy retired. Kathy’s office would call if something happened with my payment and I would update and be grateful for that service. These guys cancelled my insurance, no call, despite the person on the phone saying they are required to before canceling a policy. A new policy had to be written and not go into effect for three days and will cost me considerably more than my last policy. The person that helped me was kind and efficient, but there is no acceptable reason for this to have happened. I’ve been with State Farm for over 30 years and this agency just lost that business."

"Christina's knowledge of coverage helped me understand what coverage is best for us. I appreciate her help. I recall that last year, at 3:45 p.m. on a Friday, I called the Carmel office, and she picked up. I asked if she could email me some invoices from over the past years. Without a problem, she started sending those to me."

"Update: I was given misinformation by Carmel Curiel Larios! I have transferred to another State Farm Agency who is able to put together a plan that will fit the criteria for the Cal Fair Plan for our property. But not before I was told she would not transfer any clients that were assigned to her from Kathy Crim's Agency! I was outraged. This was unacceptable. I had to challenge her refusal to help so I called another SF Agency, Eddie Sandoval who was extremely helpful. Carmel is unaware of options that she can do to help State Farm clients. This is ignorance on her part and perhaps she should get a better handle on how insurance works and take some more training. As a 50 year client at SF I have run into this misinformation problem with another State Farm Agency in Santa Rosa that took over our previous SF Insurance Agent, Robin Bullard, who also retired several years ago. I consider it malpractice to be so misinformed of the options SF offers and to just be turned away with no options. Carmel needs to be trained better to help her clients. Not all State Farm Agents are at the same level of competence. I highly recommend Eddie Sandoval's Agency and he is very involved in our community. He is willing to work to find answers for his clients. I remembered Eddie Sandoval was very helpful after the wildfires volunteering his time to educate and help the Wildfire Victims regardless of who their Agency was. Like a good neighbor, Eddie Sandoval was there! I am very grateful. ************* I'm very unhappy with the lack of service from this Agency. Carmel never called me back when I requested her to and then made a wrong assumption on our home value without talking to me. Our previous Agent, Kathy Crim, retired and we were assigned to Carmel Curiel Larios. She made no attempt to help us and used incorrect information to refuse to process the California Fair Plan for us. We're 50 year clients and this is how we're treated by her Agency. Our previous Agent said she'd help us with the Cal Fair coverage but she just retired. Makes me think Carmel was just not willing to do the work! I'm looking for a new SF Insurance Agent in Santa Rosa. She showed no consideration for how stressful it is to be told your home insurance will not be renewed! I don't recommend her Agency."

My team did not assume the value of your home, this data came from your previous agent however we only recalculated it with that same information. It’s not that we do not want to do the work. We are not able to do it, due to coverage maximum limits with the Fair Plan. "My family and I recently moved to California and we have been researching the right place to go for auto/life insurance. After going to a few other companies, I came across this office and decided to go in and ask some questions. I am very glad I did. I was greeted by friendly staff, unlike the other places I had gone. "State Farm staff at this location are attentive, helpful, and make sure that my insurance is up to date. If they see a possible savings, they call me and let me know. While all of the staff or competent and helpful, I have had the most interaction with Nicole, whose experience and attention to detail have helped my take advantage of the discounts and benefits of my policies."
